It’s always been hard for me to visit the dentist because of past not-so-good experiences. I initially went to Advanced Dental Care of Westchester just to get X-rays and “shop around” for a dentist who could work with my anxiety. I asked for the X-rays and a consultation to understand what kind of care I would need. That’s when I met Dr. Manny Ashraf, - aka -(Doc) who went over my X-rays in detail and explained what needed to be done. I also mentioned a few cosmetic things I wanted, and he honestly told me they weren’t necessary right now and could be done later — which I really appreciated. He made me feel so comfortable and actually talked with me, not at me. That made me decide to move forward with him. During my visits, Dr. Ashraf and his staff have been extremely kind and supportive. They always explain what they’re doing, check in with me often, and encourage me to ask for breaks whenever I need them. Because of their care and understanding, I’ve been able to keep my appointments with much less anxiety. If you have dental anxiety, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Ashraf and his team. They are truly amazing!
